The new service aims to work with local people in the Point and Sandwick area to ensure eligible homes comply with the current Scottish Government Regulations for Domestic Fire Alarms (e.g. smoke alarms/heat alarms/Carbon Monoxide alarms).
We will supply & install for FREE the necessary detectors for qualifying home owners/crofters.
Eligibility
- Net income less than £35.5k AND savings less than £28k
OR
- Households with an over 60’s occupant
OR
- Households with a child under 16
The Domestic Fire Alarm Scheme is designed and delivered confidentially by Muirneag Consulting, Iain (Dan) Morrison and Stewart Wilson (formerly of Tighean Innse Gall) and financed by income from our community wind farm. All personal information shared with the advisors is confidential and will not be disclosed to PST Board members and will comply with the Muirneag Consulting privacy policy.
